School Governance

Emmanuel Lutheran Congregation Council

The Emmanuel Lutheran Church Congregation Council has general oversight of the life and activities of the congregation and its respective ministries, helping ensure that everything is accomplished in accordance with the Word of God and the faith and practice of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. All organizational programs, including Laurel Hall and its activities, are under the oversight of the Congregation Council.

Emmanuel Lutheran Foundation (ELF) The Emmanuel Lutheran Foundation supports recognized ministries of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, North Hollywood and Laurel Hall School projects. The Trustees award grants as funding becomes available. In the event a project is not funded, it should not be interpreted that the project is without merit.  Grant recipients are requested to include the Emmanuel Lutheran Foundation in all project publicity.

Communication Policy and Formal Concern Report

There are many ways for parents to communicate with teachers and school and church leaders when they have a question, want to make a suggestion, or raise a concern. The Emmanuel Lutheran Church Council provides the two documents here as one path for communicating your concerns.

Our hope is that this helps foster the well-being of all who are part of our community while encouraging respect, timeliness, fairness, and efficiency.
