K-5th Grade Curriculum/ Resource Specialist

I joined Laurel Hall’s staff in 1984 and have been teaching at LH for 36 years, taking two years off midstream to be at home with my young children. I spent eleven very special and enjoyable years as a 1st grade teacher and the remainder as the Elementary Language Arts Resource Teacher and Curriculum Advisor. I graduated from Saint Elizabeth University in Morristown, New Jersey, with a BA in Special Education. I hold a multiple-subject credential, a specialist credential in learning disabilities, and an MA in Elementary Reading from Cal State Northridge. In my current position as Resource Teacher and Curriculum Advisor, I very much enjoy working with students, families, and teachers to help give students the best possible tools to master the educational skills needed to succeed in the academic world. Although a native New Yorker, I have lived in California with my husband for 39 years and we have raised three, wonderful, kind children, all of whom attended Laurel Hall from preschool through 8th grade. My favorite things are going to the beach with family and friends, playing with my grandchildren, gardening, doing daily crossword, Sudoku, and The NY Times Wordle puzzles.
