K-5th Grade Curriculum/ Resource Specialist

I joined Laurel Hall’s staff in 1984 and have been teaching at LH for 36 years, taking two years off midstream to be at home with my young children. I spent eleven very special and enjoyable years as a 1^st grade teacher and the remainder as the Elementary Language Arts Resource Teacher and Curriculum Advisor. I graduated from Saint Elizabeth University in Morristown, New Jersey, with a BA in Special Education. I hold a multiple-subject credential, a specialist credential in learning disabilities, and an MA in Elementary Reading from Cal State Northridge. In my current position as Resource Teacher and Curriculum Advisor, I very much enjoy working with students, families, and teachers to help give students the best possible tools to master the educational skills needed to succeed in the academic world. Although a native New Yorker, I have lived in California with my husband for 39 years and we have raised three, wonderful, kind children, all of whom attended Laurel Hall from preschool through 8^th grade. My favorite things are going to the beach with family and friends, playing with my grandchildren, gardening, doing daily crossword, Sudoku, and The NY Times Wordle puzzles.
