Parents Prayer Group
The Power of Prayer is strong at Laurel Hall with the Parents Prayer Group (PPG). Held each Wednesday at 8 a.m. in room K-3 in Kinder Village, the PPG comes together to lift those in need or support to Christ. Anyone is invited to attend Prayer group. The in-chapel meetings are supported by email prayer chains.
Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scout and Brownie Troops are sponsored by the Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Each troop is run and managed by parent volunteers. Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts host an annual Pancake Breakfast in February and the Girl Scouts maintain certain flowerbeds on the Laurel Hall campus.
Community Service (Middle School)
Laurel Hall began its middle school community service requirement over a decade ago. Beginning in middle school, students are required to fulfill a certain number of hours per grade level. Community Hours are considered to be a part of the mandate that Jesus has given us to "feed my sheep." In addition, students are required to write an essay reflecting on their experience. We are working to foster an attitude of service that will remain with them long beyond their formative years at Laurel Hall.
Laurel Hall Worship Teams
Our students get the opportunity to serve God and their school by volunteering to lead worship at our Elementary and Middle School Chapels.
Each Worship Team is comprised of six members who are scheduled to lead worship four to six chapels throughout the year. They are responsible for leading the singing, litany prayers, and helping to facilitate worship.
