As you may know, our neighborhood is changing! The former Laurel Plaza Mall area is undergoing a complete redevelopment. Construction began on the site spring 2017 and the new NoHo West development is slated to open in 2019. The new site will encompass a pedestrian-oriented town center with high-quality retail, commercial, office and residential apartments that enhance and serve the existing neighborhood and local businesses. It will also include a new 1,615 space parking structure.
The senior staff of our Emmanuel Lutheran Community of schools and church will continue to work with developer Merlone Geier and our own experts at HRA Environmental Consultants Inc. to manage the impact of the new development on Laurel Hall School, the Early Childhood Center and Emmanuel Lutheran Church of North Hollywood. If you have any questions regarding NoHo West and the development related to Laurel Hall, please contact Barbara Hitchcock. Weekly updates will be provided on this website and other campus wide electronic communications.
In addition, if you're interested in keeping up with the redevelopment, including the latest renderings and construction timing as reported by the developer, Merlone Geier, feel free to visit the NoHo West website.
