Admissions Process

Thank you for your interest in applying to Laurel Hall. The online application for the 2017-2018 school year is now available and can be accessed by clicking on Apply Now. Step-by-Step Guide for the Elementary or Middle School Application Process
Step 1: Schedule a Tour

Step 2: Evaluations, Interviews and Testing

Following the school tour and based on the grade level, prospective students and their parents will be invited to attend one-to-one meetings which will include testing and evaluation as well as answering any questions. The non-refundable assessment fee is $50 per applicant entering Transitional Kindergarten through 4th grade only.  The grade specific activities include:

  • All kindergarten applicants will be given the Gesell assessment. During this time, parent(s)/guardian(s) will also have a chance to ask any questions.

  • For those applicants entering 5th to 7th grade, a one-on-one interview will be scheduled in January/February.  

  • Applicants entering 5th through 7th grade must take the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE). You may register online at www.iseetest.org,  or by mail. Request that student score reports be sent to Laurel Hall (School Code: 054359).

Step 3: Apply Online

To complete an online application, you must fill out the application form as well as the application fee of $75, as well as the testing fee of $50 for Kinder through 4th grades (if applicable). You can begin filling out the form now by clicking the Apply button.

Please note: Kindergarten applicants must be five years old by September 1 of the entering year. The application deadline is January 31, 2017.

Step 4: Recommendation Forms

The online application allows for recommendations to be submitted electronically if you provide the recommender's email addresses. The progress of electronic submissions can be tracked through the application portal. If your school would prefer a printed copy instead, please click one of the links below to download the recommendation form. The recommendation forms are due by February 10, 2017.

Step 5: Transcript/Report Card

Please send a signed Transcript Release Form to the school or schools from which you will be requesting an "official" transcript.
