I am thrilled to lead instruction at one of the absolute finest private schools in Southern California – Laurel Hall School. This is my second year as principal of LHS after having spent three decades in public education. Sixteen of those years were served as a high school principal. I began my career as an elementary school teacher before spending five years as a middle school counselor. I began my tenure as a secondary school administrator in 1996. For the past four years, I have enjoyed the wonderful world of Tk-8th grade teaching and learning.
I was born and raised in New England and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies from the University of Massachusetts. After relocating to California, I obtained a Multiple-Subject Teaching Credential from California State University, Northridge. I also earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Counseling, a Pupil Services Credential, and an Administrative Services Credential from Loyola Marymount University.
I am blessed with a loving family that includes a son and four daughters. Moments together are sacred to me. I currently enjoy the best of two very special worlds - working at an educational institution of such academic excellence, and enjoying my days off with my beautiful family. We enjoy sports, travel, game nights, music, holiday celebrations and just simply spending a lot of time with each other.
It truly is a wonderful life!

Currently the Assistant Principal, I have been at Laurel Hall for 21 years. I began my career here as the Student Support Director and have also served as the Acting and Interim Principal. The community and family spirit, along with the rigorous academic environment, are what make our school special. I hold a BA from Cal State Northridge in Sociology with a minor in Women’s Studies and an MED in Education with an endorsement for Private School Leader. I have been a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church for 45 years. I am married with two grown children who both attended the ECC and Laurel Hall. In my spare time, I love to read and bake.
