SUMMER CAMP NEWS!
The Getting Ready Camp is available for two weeks this summer! For those who may be wondering, the second week is NOT a repeat of the first week, but rather continues with the review of additional skills and concepts to help prepare your child for the beginning of the new school year. Getting Ready Camp is designed to introduce and refresh students in the areas of Language Arts, Math and Science. The enrichment based program includes learning games, technology and art. The youngest students (TK and K) are also introduced to the classroom setting, routines and procedures at Laurel Hall. The focus for Grade 6 is on organizational skills, managing a locker, getting ready for Middle School, and a review of language arts and math skills. Incoming 6th graders can get answers to all their questions about Middle School while at camp. Register now for one week or two and give your child the skills to begin the new school year with confidence! Cost: $250/week up to 6/2. After 6/2 the cost goes up to $275/week. (Registration fee and After Care fees are separate. Go to www.laurelhallsummer.com to register!

Varak Kaloustian, a recent graduate of Laurel Hall, was inspired by our great middle school English teachers to write, and at 15 years old publish his first science fiction novel, The Solar System’s Prophecies. Because of the success of his debut novel, Varak was invited to have a book signing at the Studio City Barnes & Noble for his newly released second novel, Triangle Corruption. When asked which school he would like to donate 20% of the proceeds to, Varak naturally chose Laurel Hall. On Saturday, 6/3, from 1:00-3:00pm, Varak Kaloustian will be having a book signing at Barnes & Noble Bookstar, 12136 Ventura Blvd, Studio City. Click here for more information.
